Caring and Supporting
Founded in 2018, Khyenkong works in the state of Bihar, one of the poorest regions in India, where malnutrition and limited access to healthcare have a severe impact on families. Medical needs remain critical: few healthcare facilities, isolated villages, and many untreated conditions.
Every winter, teams of volunteer doctors and healthcare professionals run mobile medical clinics in villages around Bodhgaya. With the support of a local driver and interpreter, they travel daily to different locations to provide direct access to care, including health screenings, medical consultations, and the distribution of essential medicines.
Each mission lasts around three months and enables 1,000 to 1,200 patients to receive free medical care.

Volunteer Professionals in the Field
Committed healthcare professionals mobilized each winter to diagnose, treat, monitor, and educate patients.

Prevention and Ongoing Support
Hygiene initiatives, prenatal follow-up for pregnant women, health risk awareness, and support for complex medical situations.

Support Our Medical Association
Your donations help fund essential medicines, mission logistics, the operation of the dispensary, and medical consultations in remote villages across Bihar. Every contribution directly supports free access to healthcare for the most vulnerable families.

Join Our Volunteer Team
We are looking for experienced healthcare professionals to take part in our missions, including doctors, nurses, physiotherapists, osteopaths, midwives, and ophthalmologists.

Our Story and Support Network
Khyenkong Tharjay Manjughosha (Khyenkong) was founded in 2018 by volunteers already involved in humanitarian work with the Tharjay association. This experience quickly led to the development of structured medical missions in Bodhgaya, serving the most vulnerable communities in Bihar.
Our work is supported by partner organizations in India and Europe, which play a key role in local coordination, logistics, medical staffing, and financial support.
Thanks to these long-term partnerships, Khyenkong is able to deliver free medical consultations every winter in some of the poorest villages in Bihar and ensure the continuity of its actions.
Companies, associations, and foundations: partner with us to improve access to healthcare in Bodhgaya.
